Although they can be trained, cats are not known for their ability to do tricks for a good reason. I saw a cat circus once, and — don’t get me wrong, it was very entertaining, and I would absolutely recommend it — the cats only got their tricks right maybe 50 percent of the time. To be fair, that was part of the entertainment value.
That’s what makes this video so impressive. This cat named Ebi has been trained by her owner to sit and shake paws at mealtimes, and she does so with aplomb. What other hidden talents does Ebi possess? Bringing her owner a beer in exchange for some Whiskas Temptations? I wouldn’t rule anything out.
