Meet Canada’s Goose-Riding, Dragon-Stabbing Answer To Donald Trump With This Campaign Ad

In this cold and dark time before presidential primary season really gets going, and we all start to realize that one of these people will soon have nuclear codes, Donald Trump has given political animals an illuminating tire fire of controversy to keep them warm. But how many dragons has Donald Trump run a sword through? Can he grow a beard on-demand, topple a mega-robot with his laser eyes, or ride a majestic Canadian goose like Atreyu atop that dog thing in Neverending Story? No, no, and probably not. But who can?

Meet Wyatt Scott, an independent candidate for a Canadian parliament seat who knows how to find the internet’s weird sh*t sweet spot, as is evidenced by the above bonkers campaign commercial that seems to have been approved by fever dreams, testosterone, and the Camachoization of politics.

Inexplicably, the ad has been sitting on the internet since mid-June, waiting for people to find it and hear about the issues that Scott is passionate about. You know, the ones you may have missed because laser eyes.

Now that it’s out in full effect, though, the question has to be asked: Will this campaign ad lead Scott to victory when the hockey pucks and empty Tim Horton’s cups are counted on election day? Honestly, I’m not sure, but it’s got people talking about him, and isn’t that all that matters?

Oh… it’s not?
