A Theory About Dumbledore Is Blowing The Minds Of ‘Harry Potter’ Fans

As long as people keep reading J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, fans will keep coming up with new Harry Potter theories. In 358 years, when Prisoner of Azkaban is outlawed during the Great Book Ban of 2373, some rebel on Tumblr will finally realize that “Mad-Eye” Moody is actually Arthur Weasley, who’s REALLY Cedric Diggory’s great-uncle. It all makes sense now!

The latest interpretation to blow the minds of Muggles everywhere has to do with “The Tale of the Three Brothers,” the wizard fairy tale from Deathly Hallows about a trio of siblings who cheat Death. For a time, at least. Death catches up with two of them, but is unable to locate the last Peverell brother, until he “finally took off the Cloak of Invisibility and gave it to his son, and then he “greeted Death as an old friend, and went with him gladly, and, equals, they departed this life.”

Readers have been comparing Harry, Snape, and Voldemort to the Peverells since Deathly Hallows was published, with Voldemort as the boastful oldest brother, Snape the long-lost-lovesick middle, and Harry the youngest and most cunning. But who’s Death?

Fans are reacting to the theory like Harry on a new broom.

Somewhere, J.K. Rowling cackles in delight.
