Heads up if you’re one of those people prone to “contagious” yawning. This little puppy is a serious yawning champion. Meet Quavo, (a puppy we are hoping is named for member from the hip-hop trio Migos), who might be leaking oxygen out of his gigantic ears and must yawn in order to keep a constant supply of oxygen in his little puppy brain. He is extremely cute and tiny, so it’s fun to watch him unhinge his jaw to enjoy several — like, several — full-throated yawns. He yawns in every way — silently, squeakily, even scream yawns make a few appearances when Quavo opens his puppy mouth. He’s so tired that he always has to be carried around, because I don’t think he takes a single step in this video.
And if you have a dog of your own in the room, he or she might even play along and yawn in solidarity. Even you humans might feel compelled to yawn! Let’s just declare today a national yawning holiday: National Yawning Day, in honor of Quavo the Yawning Puppy of the Internet. Thank you, Quavo. I needed an excuse to go out and celebrate my life tonight.
This weekend, pour yourself a drink, lay out by the pool, and let out a hearty yawn while the summer officially starts winding down.
