Here in the United States, some museums contain exhibits that allow visitors to tour massive replicas of human body parts. An example that springs to mind is the Franklin Institute’s Giant Heart in Philadelphia. Children and adults alike adore walking through the pulsating exhibit.
Japan just one-upped the United States in the body-part exhibit league. Only in glorious Tokyo will you find a museum that allows you to waltz through a king-sized butthole. The “Mysterious Great Adventure of the Body 2015” exhibit has drawn thousands of visitors so far, but it won’t stick around for long. The exhibit is only scheduled to run through August 22, which seems like a waste. Why flush such a popular tourist attraction?
Visitors are allowed to touch the inner sanctum as they roam through a butthole canal. There’s a giant pile of poop for fun-time climbing purposes, and some model toilets exist for simulation purposes. I suppose in Japan, where real estate comes at a premium, lounging upon a toilet for an extended few moments must feel like a luxury.
The museum also allows visitors to climb through a nose in this exhibit, but let’s get real. The butt is the main attraction.
