These Two High Schoolers Made An Incredible Video Asking Their Dates To Homecoming

As a contributing writer for Uproxx, it’s rare that a day goes by where I don’t receive a link to a soon-to-be viral video or story with a note attached that says “must-watch” or “this is pretty great.” Sometimes, I’ll click and get a slight chuckle out of it, and in a very rare occurrence, I might even forward it on or write a post about it. But never have I experienced what happened after clicking the link to this particular video.

The note attached this time was “epic homecoming video.” And being that I’m not the kind of person who wants to miss out on seeing something epic, I gave it a look. And wouldn’t you know, the tipster was right: The video is pretty wonderful. But after a closer look, I realized that one of the main characters in the video was my cousin.

Meet Adam Zybko and George Mugnani. They’re football players for Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and they want Emma and Claire to accompany them to homecoming. But it seems they have presumed that Emma and Claire aren’t the type of young women who will say yes to a simple passing request in the hall, or a text, or a phone call (what are those?). They need to be persuaded and wooed. Well, Adam and George were up to the task.

This video has everything a young woman could ask for — animal chases, car explosions, tandem bicycling, and even slow-motion sit-ups. Oh, and terrific mustaches. By the way, I saw Adam last weekend, and yes, the mustache is definitely real.

So, what say you, Emma and Claire? Will you accompany Adam and George to homecoming? You can ride the handlebars.
