If you haven’t heard the news yet, John Boehner announced in “an emotional meeting” (as if there’s any other kind with him, *wink, wink, nudge nudge*) Friday morning that he is giving up his seat as Speaker of the House and resigning from Congress at the end of October. This news comes just one day after Boehner fulfilled his two decades-long dream of meeting the Pope, and as the United States is on the verge of a government shut down.
