Celebrity look-alikes are everywhere, tricking us into thinking we’ve met Angelina Jolie or Benedict Cumberbatch. With just a few viral photos and the right haircut, a few of us Normies can find celeb status, with all the pluses and minuses that go along with that. Mardee Shackleford, a 21-year-old waitress in California, has found out that she has an uncanny resemblance to famed twerker Miley Cyrus. In perusing her Instagram, it can be really tough to spot the difference between the two. But what’s it like to live like a woman who’s sort of living like another woman?
Shackleford became a Smiler after listening to Cyrus’ Bangerz album, and she loved that Cyrus was a fan of “girl power.” Ever since she donned the familiar Pixie haircut, Shackleford started getting a lot of comments about their similarities. She claims that she doesn’t intentionally dress to look like Cyrus. Um, yeah. Okay. She even needs security guards to protect her from fans when she goes to concerts. I’m guessing she’d need more than a few if she ever went to a Nicki Minaj concert. Shackleford might also have some success as a Justin Bieber look-alike if she feels like taking a break from the bikini photos.
