A Guitar That Teaches You To Play?

If there’s one thing that’s difficult about learning the guitar, it’s learning the guitar. Yeah, you can use tabs, but tabs are a pain. Why not use LEDs instead?
That’s the idea behind the Guitarduino, built by a UIC student as his engineering project. Built off of, obviously, Arduino, you enter the chord or particular note you want to learn, and the LEDs installed in the fretboard light up, showing you the proper finger position to play.
And this is something he came up with when his first idea, a MIDI guitar, fell apart. Yes, this is a desperate save for a grade. Man, all my years of B.S.ing a paper while drunk can’t top this. We salute you, Andrew, and get a patent filed ASAP: thousands of would-be rock stars want to make you a millionaire by buying this.
