A New Mooooooortal Kooooombat Movie Is Still Happening

Remember Mortal Kombat: Rebirth? It was a short, 7-minute “gritty realistic” take on Mortal Kombat that made the Internet rounds a couple years ago. The idea was Rebirth was going to sell Warner Bros. on the idea of doing a new Mortal Kombat movie. It didn’t happen, but Warners did approve a web series called Mortal Kombat: Legacy.

So far Mortal Kombat: Legacy’s nine episodes have amassed around 60-million YouTube views. Apparently that was finally enough to convince Warners that new Mortal Kombat movie might be viable.

According to a Warners executive, Rebirth and Legacy director Kevin Tancharoen is now at work on a “a forty, fifty million dollar” Mortal Kombat feature. Hit the jump to celebrate this news the only way it possibly could be celebrated…

Now just stick this sucker on loop and have the MOST PRODUCTIVE WORKDAY EVER. Kick those spreadsheet’s asses. Finish the f–k out of that report. You’re welcome.
