Dr. Craig Spencer, who had recently returned from treating Ebola patients in the African nation of Guinea, has tested positive for the disease, according to numerous sources. Earlier today, Dr. Spencer was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in New York City after he experienced some of the symptoms of Ebola, including a fever and gastrointestinal issues, and CBS New York and CNN’s Anderson Cooper have since confirmed that the physician who works with Doctors Without Borders has indeed been infected with Ebola.
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene announced that because of Spencer’s “recent travel history, pattern of symptoms and past work,” he would undergo testing for Ebola compared to other similar illnesses. Tests came back positive within the last hour, and a press conference will soon be held at Bellevue.

Spencer was reportedly hanging out at two different bowling spots, The Gutter and Brooklyn Bowl, last night and was using Uber to get from place to place; however, representatives of both places have said that they have not been contacted by health officials, according to the New York Daily News.
