The 100-Word Review: Action Bronson & Harry Fraud’s ‘Saaab Stories’

Here’s an Action Bronson project in a nutshell: it’s always serviceable, the beats stand well by themselves, and it’ll be something listeners play to satiate a mood and then turn off after five tracks. Bronson might not ever break new ground, as his latest EP, Saaab Stories, with Harry Fraud indicates, but that’s fine. Saaab Stories, like everything Bronson, is smooth and ad-lib heavy, like progressive background music. No shots, but outside “Alligator” and the nutty hilarity of “Strictly 4 My Jeeps” every song melts into one another. Don’t fix what isn’t broken, we guess, but something different would be nice.

Standout Songs: “Strictly 4 My Jeeps,” “Alligator”

Songs to Skip: “Triple Backflip”
