Marcus Lewis Won The College Slam Dunk Contest, Adreian Payne Won Our Hearts

Eastern Kentucky’s Marcus Lewis made a lot of people shout the letter O last night at the 2014 College Slam Dunk Contest, and for that he was declared the big winner and will go down in history as the guy who dunked better than other people that one time. Not that Lewis’s dunks weren’t impressive (they were awesome, and I’ve got all of them below if you’re impatient) but my new favorite eventual NBA Draft pick, Michigan State’s Adreian Payne, was also in the contest. And not only did Payne have an awesome dunk of his own, complete with an even better celebration, but he was also joined, as always, by his biggest fan, the adorable Princess Lacey.

Eight-year old Lacey Holsworth became one of the stars of this year’s NCAA Tournament, as the young girl battling neuroblastoma had become a sister to Payne during his time at Michigan State, culminating in her helping him cut the net after the Spartans won the Big Ten Championship. Last night, she sat courtside to cheer on her big brother, and she even kissed the basketball for luck before he pulled off this ridiculous double-clutch 360 dunk.

Because it totally deserves it, here’s Payne’s celebration in GIF form…

Again, I’m not trying to take away from Lewis’s amazing dunks, so here is a full compilation of his champion efforts from last night…
