First Lady Michelle Obama celebrated the fourth anniversary of her “Let’s Move!” initiative at a Miami parks and recreation center yesterday, and she was joined by an appropriate and awesome guest: Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler.
Poehler, who had to stand on a box to use FLOTUS’ microphone, predictably brought the funny when addressing the room: “Just ask yourself this question: Without parks, where would we put all the swings? It would be in the middle of the road. It would be very dangerous.”
Between physical activities that included dancing and miniature golf (see photos below), Michelle Obama also announced that the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the National Recreation and Park Association will serve more fruits and vegetables at after-school programs and ensure that kids get 30-60 minutes of physical activity a day.
That’s great, but you know what would have been even better? FLOTUS and Leslie Knope announcing their candidacy for #TrueDetectiveSeason2.
