Anti-Gay Politician Says He Took Pics Of His Butthole To Document Weight Loss

Every few months, like clockwork, a politician — typically a virulently anti-gay Republican — get’s busted tapping his foot in an airport bathroom stall or posting an ad to Craigslist in an effort to satisfy a dark, secret craving for man-ass. Such occurrences have become so frequent that they’re almost “meh” — the sad hypocrisy these gay sex scandals expose is the only reason they’re even worth paying attention to.

With that said, this latest one is noteworthy to me for how the closeted gay Republican was busted — posting photos to Grindr, a newish gay hook-up app for mobile phones — and the types of photos he posted there: He went beyond the traditional dong shot and posted a pic of himself spread-eagle on the floor, butthole gloriously exposed for all potential takers to see what they’d be getting.

Reports the Washington Post:

A Puerto Rico senator says he can’t remember whether he posted explicit photos on the gay cruising app Grindr, but presented a letter of resignation this weekend anyway … Arango has previously voted in favor of Resolution 99, a proposal that would block any attempt to permit same-sex marriages in Puerto Rico. He has also opposed adoption rights for gay people.

But what makes this case particularly remarkable is that Arango appears to have opened up a new frontier of impossibly laughable and sad explanations for how photos of his starfish emerged.

Roberto Arango gave an Anthony Weiner-esque non-denial of the photos to local news outlets: “You know I’ve been losing weight. As I shed that weight, I’ve been taking pictures. I don’t remember taking this particular picture but I’m not gonna say I didn’t take it. I’d tell you if I remembered taking the picture, but I don’t.”

Tobias Fünke would be proud…
