Whenever I’m in New York I usually stay in East Village and there’s this taco cart at the corner of Avenue A and 2nd street that I frequent — the Taco Morelos cart. It’s pretty much the sh*t as far as taco carts go. I’ve gotten better food from taco trucks, but never better from a taco cart, I think. It’s important not to confuse the two, as a taco truck has more capabilities than a taco cart. And now you know.
So one day a few months ago I was minding my own business on Twitter and this tweet from Aziz Ansari popped up…
So now every time I go to the Taco Morelos cart, as I have at least a dozen times over the past two weeks, I find myself hoping to run into Aziz, and when I inevitably don’t I leave feeling disappointed. So what I’m trying to say is that Aziz Ansari has basically ruined the Taco Morelos cart for me. That’s what it’s like to be a big celebrity like Aziz Ansari, I guess. Other people’s food doesn’t taste as good with the knowledge that you, the big celebrity, didn’t somehow play a part in its procurement.
Also, people on the internet make remixes of your work when you’re a big celebrity like Aziz Ansari, but you probably already knew that.
