There’s A Lesson To Be Learned From This Baby Who Loves Food

When was the last time you got really excited? Like really excited. Not sexually or anything, ya weirdo. We mean genuinely pumped up about something pretty ordinary. Hard to remember, right? Well not this kid.

Milo is only 17 months old, but in those 17 months this toddler has already felt more emotion about food than us adults have probably felt about anything in years. Yogurt, cheese, pancake syrup — if it looks kind of edible, this kid will caa woooo at it and shoot his finger in the air. Apparently not his Cheerios though. He gives no sh*ts about Cheerios. Milo can’t even eat most of the stuff he’s pumped about, but he’s no less elated by the fact that it exists and that someone is getting a plate of it, even if that person is at a different table.

There’s a lesson to be learned here. Milo isn’t getting the food and he can only eat some of it at 17 months, but he is ecstatic nonetheless. Let’s try and take that mentality forward. Get pumped up about something, whether you’re reaping the benefits or not. Get stoked about something mundane. Can’t we all benefit from getting excited about something as simple as maple syrup?
