Meme Watch: Dogshaming Is The New Planking, Without All The Stupid Planking

A new single-serving Tumblr started recently called Dogshaming. It’s exactly what it says on the tin. Submitters photograph their dog with a sign disclosing their doggy crime. I’m reminded of the Eddie Izzard routine about so-called bad dogs.

“Bad dog! Bad dog! Stole a biscuit, bad dog!”
The dog is saying, “Who are you to judge me? You human beings who’ve had genocide, war against people of different creeds, colors, religions, and I stole a biscuit?! Is that a crime?”

According to Dogshaming, stealing a biscuit is indeed a crime. The punishment is being cute on the internet.

Our favorite pictures from Dogshaming are collected below, and we’ve added a few bonus pictures not from the site at the end of the gallery. Thanks to Julia Segal for the assist.

Awww, we forgive you, every dog. Look how cheap this little guy works. [via]
