Bethesda Rocks The Gaming World With Skyrim Remaster And Fallout 4 DLC Announcements

Bethesda went from a relatively nerdy game publisher to one of the pillars of the gaming world with franchises like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. In fact, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of the biggest games of all-time, only recently rivaled by Bethesda’s own Fallout 4. Both games have been two of the most popular games in recent history and Bethesda rocked fans at their E3 showcase in regards to both.

So no, Bethesda hasn’t unveiled The Elder Scrolls VI just yet, but they know that you’ve probably sunk hundreds (and hundreds) of hours into Skyrim and that you might need to sink a few more. Why? Because Skyrim is — like rumoredgetting a remastered release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, featuring completely overhauled and updated visuals and mod support. That’s a big one. Like really, really big.

Then what about Fallout 4, right? Bethesda is looking to make Fallout 4 fans even more happy with future expansions. Launching next week will be Contraptions, a new DLC for Fallout 4 that looks to expand what players can create in their settlements, from the functional to the goofy. Another new expansion announced was the Vault Tec Workshop, which looks like a full-scale version of the great mobile game Fallout Shelter which is coming in July. Lastly was the announcement of Nuka World, which seems to be the next big expansion for the game that should be more than just a fun little add-on, but a full-scale expansion coming in August.

If you have been wondering about dipping your toes into Virtual Reality within the next year, well, Bethesda has you covered there as well. How? They’re launching Fallout 4 on HTC Vive VR in 2017. Whoa.

They’ve also promised updates to Fallout Shelter coming soon, including a PC release for those of you who hate wasting the sweet, sweet battery life on your phones.
