Careers in television are hard to come by. That’s why it’s so surprising that the 21-year-old in the video above is out there reading the news on major Albanian TV. I don’t speak the language, so I don’t know exactly what she’s saying, but according to The Daily Mail, the channel she’s working for agrees that her style is “awkward.” So how’d she land the job?
Cleavage. Lots and lots of cleavage
Enki Bracaj, a public relations student who’s always wanted a job in television, showed up for a screen test at Zjarr Television with a good attitude and a top that didn’t leave much to the imagination. After the audition, she was immediately offered the job. But she doesn’t feel bad about using her looks to get ahead, she knows that the world of entertainment is cut-throat.
Here’s what Bracaj has said about getting and maintaining her job as a news anchor:
‘So it was obvious that if I wanted to make it I had to be brave and offer something different.
‘I checked first with my parents and when I found that they also supported me in my decision, it wasn’t a problem for me to go ahead like this.’
Well, as long as the parents approve! But they’re not the only ones. Bracaj has boosted ratings for the channel she’s seen on and has become an internet sensation in both her native Albania as well as nearby Serbia. And, as of today, she’s racking up fans all over the globe. She’s also working on delivering the news more professionally. (But she won’t be putting on more clothes.)
