Bill O’Reilly Doesn’t Get The Whole ‘Gangnam Style’ Thing

Bill O’Reilly seems like the kind of guy who’d watch that video of a corgi wearing a life jacket jumping into water, and say, “That woman should stop parading her mammaries around like that, or else the terrorists have already won.” So it should come as no surprise that not only doesn’t he get “Gangnam Style,” but he brings in the oxymoron known as the “Fox News psychiatrist doctor” to explain it to him. According to the Huffington Post

O’Reilly argued that the dance was just a rendition of the “pony” move. “800 million views of this?” he asked. “What’s going on??”

Ablow offered his mind-blowing assessment: “I think what this fellow is tapping into…is the fact that people don’t want any meaning right now.” He continued, “It is just is sort of like a drug and that seems to be what most people seem to want right now. Not reality, not feeling, not meaning.”

“So it means nothing, but it’s got a nice upbeat to it but you can do the pony and ride around,” O’Reilly suggested.

“The meaning is that it means nothing,” Ablow responded. (Via)

Looks like somebody’s been reading Tim Allen’s website! Also, three seconds of research would show that “Gangnam Style” is actually much more complex than your average run-of-the-mill pop song, and that to say it’s “without intelligible words, to some extent” is hilarious at best, horribly racist at worst. But, hey, that takes time away from watching “Obama Tells America to Serve Satan” videos. Now THOSE make some sense.
