Blake Griffin Was Doing Blake Griffin Things Above The Rim In Detroit

For all the shade thrown at Blake Griffin’s game by analysts, fans and everyone in between – merited or not – there’s one truth behind the mounds of criticism. That son of a b*tch is fun as hell to watch play live. And he’s even more fun once he’s in the open court. Such was the case Monday night in Motown. The Clips were up by 10 with less than 30 seconds left when Brandon Knight hoisted a contested three I’m guessing to just pad his own numbers at that point. Contested threes usually lead to long rebounds. Long rebounds lead to fast break opportunities.

In this instance, Blake tossed the rock ahead to Matt Barnes who knew exactly what to do with it from there. Just throw it off the backboard and let Blake handle the rest. And handle the rest Blake did. It’s plays like these which deserved to be narrated by The Honorable Gus Johnson.

And just for sh*ts and giggles, the Clippers are riding a 10-game winning streak. Remember when the only thing worse than the Clips was getting sick on your birthday?
