A Woman Wanting A Kim Kardashian Butt Dies After Getting A Brazilian Butt Lift

Thanks to Kim and Khloe Kardashian, the quest to getting a centaur butt is at an all-time high and has gone far beyond squatting. Women born with ironing board-backsides now have several options for pumping up their booties to the perfect size. Everything from simple buttpads to injecting their butts with their own fat or actual Fix-A-Flat are available and widely used alternatives. While getting your glutes filled with cement poses its own deadly risks, so do Brazilian butt lifts.

A West Virginia woman is dead after undergoing the procedure, which sucks out fat from your flanks and transfers it to your butt. Heather Meadows, 29, headed down to the BBL capital of Miami in hopes of getting the perfect assets last week. Unfortunately, the mother of two suffered a “medical complication” after the procedure and died.

According to medical examiners, fat clots “entered Meadows’ blood stream through a vein during the fat-transfer procedure.” Once in her bloodstream, the clots clogged arteries in Meadows’ heart and lungs, leading to organ failure and, ultimately, death. CBS Miami notes cosmetic surgeons are careful to not poke too deeply when sucking out their patients’ fat for this very reason. They also say while fat clot complications are rare, the chances of surviving them are low.

The clinic Meadows received her Brazilian Butt Lift remains open pending results of an investigation.
