‘SNL’ Alumni Chris Kattan Has Been Arrested For DUI After Crashing Into A Government Vehicle

Gym Teacher: The Movie star and SNL alumni Chris Kattan was arrested Monday morning for driving under the influence. Via The Wrap:

The 43-year-old actor, most famous for his role alongside Will Ferrell in “A Night at the Roxbury,” was arrested at 2:22 a.m. after his Mercedes collided with a Department of Transportation vehicle on the 101 Freeway near Van Nuys where a crew was busy working on guard rail repair.

Yikes. My first thought when I’m driving through a construction area is to not crash into a Department of Transportation vehicle. Fines are more even if you’re sober. So how drunk was he?

Kattan was not, however, under the influence of alcohol, as authorities believe he was under the influence of prescription drugs.

The actor, whose recent credits include a regular role on ABC sitcom “The Middle” between 2009 and 2012, sustained minor injuries during the collision.

Prescription drugs, eh? I’m afraid to play Mario Kart 64 if I take a shot of Nyquil, so taking some meds and hitting the road would probably be a bad idea. Hopefully this is a rare occasion and Kattan doesn’t have a problem. Drug addiction is terrible, as we’ve all witnessed with the recent death of Phillip Seymour Hoffman. What really gets me is why rich celebrities, knowing they’re going to be under the influence, drive their cars at all? Why not have a driver for that night? If you can afford to drink and do drugs, you can afford a taxi, at least.

Remember to always keep your eyes on the road and to not do basically bad thing in this entire article.
