Chris Paul Had Jeremy Lin On Skates Something Serious Last Night

Defense was anywhere but the Staples Center last night. The Clippers gave Houston their first loss of the season after an offensive onslaught 137-118. And oh yeah, Dwight Howard was boo’d because either A) some Lakers fans infiltrated a Clippers game solely for the purpose heckling Howard or B) the entire city as a whole just isn’t fond of the guy.

Nevertheless, the game ball falls in the hands of none other than Chris Paul for his 23 points and 17 assists. Before the regular season began, I made note of how important these next 82 games were in terms of improvement as a player for Jeremy Lin – in particular Lin’s commitment to defense.

And this isn’t to say Lin wasn’t committed here, but CP3 took the liberty to single-handedly direct Lin’s audition tape in for the upcoming Winter Olympic games. The best thing to happen to Lin on this play was that it ended when it did.
