With the hype behind Batman v Superman at their backs, Warner Bros. is setting their focus on Wonder Woman. The Gal Gadot starring flick will be directed by Patty Jenkins, who replaced Michelle MacLaren after she left the project back in April. Now that a new director is in place, the early casting process has begun and Chris Pine is being eyed to play Diana Prince’s love interest Steve Trevor.
In the comics, Steve Trevor worked in the United States Army as an intelligence officer during World War II. After his plane crashes on Paradise Island, he is nursed back to healthy by Amazon princess Diana who soon falls in love with him and follows Trevor back to the outside world.
Wonder Woman is set to hit theaters on Jun 23, 2017.
