In 1979, 26 percent of players in Major League Baseball were black. On opening day 2013, that number had dropped to 8.3 percent. The issue has been addressed by baseball’s elite, including one of its biggest African-American stars in Hank Aaron. Numerous publications have written about it, tackling the socioeconomic concerns at play.

Today Chris Rock, an avid baseball fan, wades through the bullsh*t and gives you his comedic take on blacks in baseball. It’s quite amusing.

“Now if I ask a black person if they like the Mets, they’ll be like, ‘What the f*ck’s a Met?'”
