Earlier today, when posting Jay Smooth’s parody of that bizarre Herman Cain ad, I mentioned how overtly ripe for parody it was. And then I finally got around to watching last night’s Colbert Report while eating lunch and WHADDYA KNOW — they did a few funny ones when I wasn’t looking.
How ridiculous are the real Herman Cain’s ads? This ridiculous: when Maske IMed me a link to a fake one earlier, I actually thought it was an actual Herman Cain ad, despite being utterly absurd. This is your Republican presidential campaign frontrunner, ladies and gentlemen! Poor Jon Huntsman.
UPDATE: I will say this for Herman Cain — the guy seems to be a good sport. He just posted a pic to Twitter that shows him watching Colbert poke fun at him.
