Pot Enthusiasts In Denver Had The Best New Year’s Eve Ever

Getting wasted on New Years Eve is tradition. But thanks to Colorado’s Amendment 64, a select crowd of Denver potheads celebrated the turn of the calendar a bit differently than the rest of us: by legally smoking marijuana. Per CNN, a venue called “Club 64” opened its doors for the first time New Years Eve, allowing members to legally puff their piff:

“The members-only Club 64 is the first of its kind to open in Colorado since November when voters approved Amendment 64, which legalized possession of small amounts of marijuana for recreational use.

The club opened on New Year’s Eve at 4:20 p.m. — another significant number among pro-pot advocates — to a small, but enthusiastic crowd of about a dozen people, all over the age of 21. Each member paid a $29 fee, allowing them to bring their own weed and smoke anywhere on the premises.”

That’s a pretty hefty fee to get baked out of your mind, but anything for the experience, right? No word yet on whether or not the patrons actually stayed until the ball dropped or took to the streets in search of fast food.
