The term “New West” has been floating around now for about six or seven years. At this point, though, the movement that was originally supposed to separate the youngbloods (or Crips) from their elders has turned into an oxymoron of sorts. Nonetheless, thanks to the always boisterous DJ Kay Slay and his plumber-ready More Than Just a DJ album, a fresh breed of “The New West” has a Black Sabbath-sampling, bite-you-head-off-type title track to keep belief alive that the new jacks still have what it takes to overtake the throne.[audio:http://www.filefreak.com/files/119150_js9ik/DJ%20Kay%20Slay%20Feat.%20Glasses%20Malone%2C%20Stacee%20Adamz%2C%20Big%20Y%2C%20Lock%20Smith%20%26%20%20Jay%20Rock%20-%20The%20New%20West.mp3%5D
