PLNDR Presents “A Mick Boogie Christmas” Mixtape

Where I live in Metro Detroit, there’s a station that annually plays Christmas songs around the clock, from Black Friday until New Years Day. While this cheery reminder of the holiday season is cute at first, the sheer amount of covers being played and public places participating creates an overbearing overlap that makes you want to shank the Salvation Army Santa outside your grocery store with a candy cane. Thankfully, A Mick Boogie Christmas just dropped and will prevent that devastating occurrence from ever happening.

Set to alleviate our holiday-induced earaches, the Ohio player has created a festive soundtrack featuring soulful classics by everyone from James Brown to Minnie Ripperton, even featuring an exclusive recreation of “Christmas In Hollis” by DMC himself. The best part, however, might be that the tape is universal enough to spin at holiday parties between friends and fellow workers alike, which will give everyone a nice break from the merry monotony.

To spice up your eggnog a little more than usual this year, you can stream Mick’s present to music lovers below, or download the tape in full from PLNDR.
