Shy Glizzy – Law 2: One Foot In, One Foot Out Mixtape

Southeast D.C. has a spot on TSS as long as Shy Glizzy continues breathing air into microphones.

Glizzy provided a sneak peak into the sound of Law 2: One Foot In, One Foot Out a few weeks back with the flag-in-the-sand record, “I Am D.C.” Yesterday saw the release of the project in its entirety. Shy extends the invitation to Doe B, Kevin Gates, Starlito, Yo Gotti and more to the follow up of last December’s impressive Fxck Rap. Off the first run, the same sense of hunger has remained, boding well to those who may not have sipped the Kool-Aid until now.

Tapping out at 14 tracks, Glizzy also appears to understand the meaning of less equating to more. Standouts are subjective, but the Kevin Gates-featured “Gudda” is the early personal frontrunner for L2’s finest moment from a care-free stance. Meanwhile, “Free The Gang” is doused in introspectiveness and a perfect example of how erratic Shy’s mind operates floating from topic to topic, often on completely different ends of the spectrum.

Enough of the hype-building however. It’s time we let Shy speak for himself.
