Sneak Peek: Nike Lunar Force 1

It’s not an Air Force 1. It’s a Lunar Force 1. That’s right, Nike’s giving Lunaralon technology a shot on the AF1. As sacrilegious as the model might seem, the thought of Lunar comfort on an Air Force 1 might get me to try a pair just for the hell of it. The hybridization works better here than on other recent models because whatever party is responsible for adding visible Air to the Terra Sertig deserves forty lashes from a bamboo stick.

While neither of these models will be used for their original intended purpose, there’s a difference between why adding new tech works on one and not the other. The Air Force 1 is a lifestyle model at this point and meant to be worn casually. Adding in updated comfort works easily there because most wearers are opting for walking over hooping in them. A model like the Terra Sertig fairs better in its original ACG form and aesthetic. The originals already had a favorable full Zoom Air cushioned sole which surely makes more sense than a 360 Max Air, at least to anyone who would decide to take these hiking and have the exposed unit wide open for deflation. Rough and tumble doesn’t need any gussying up.
