Apparently there’s been a tipping trend recently. Some are pretty amazing and others are downright awful. The tip that 20-year-old waitress, Alexandra Judd got on Tuesday can go into the awful category. Judd who works at Zada Jane’s Corner Cafe in Charlotte, NC didn’t receive monetary compensation from one woman from a table of two who were rude to her the entire time, instead one patron scribbled “lev 20.13,” in the tip spot; lev being short for Leviticus. Leviticus 20:13 is a popular verse uttered by anti-gay groups. The verse states:

“If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”

At the end of the receipt, the woman wrote, “We’re praying for you.” Judd took to Facebook and posted the receipt. Judd told the New York Daily News:

“Suicide is so common with the LGBT community, especially with young people,” she said. “People not as mentally strong as I am, something bad could happen.”

Judd also told the New York Daily News that there’s been an influx of hate towards the LGBT community in Charlotte after the infamous “bathroom bill” was passed a few weeks ago and ended up participating in a rally against the bill the day after she received the “tip”.
