Here’s a heartwarming video for the middle of your work week. A young woman named Misty Nicole Knight posted the above video on Facebook, in which she gives the man who raised her a red gift box, and has him read an embarrassing letter out loud.
Here is the letter in full, minus the asides from Knight herself (which are worth watching the video for), and the Star Wars spoilers:
I just want you to know that you’re the most amazing man I have ever met. You raised me my whole life, from putting my hair into tight Princess Leia buns, forging my signature like in 5th grade, jamming out to alternative music, going to Warped Tour, and even our first rock concert together, leading up to us laughing at cats wearing leggings. I know we are so weird together, but that’s what makes you you, and I cannot imagine not having you in my life. I’m so grateful to be able to call you Dad. You’re probably wondering what this letter is for. Well, open the damn present already.
When the Dad opens the present, out pops a Batman vs. Superman onesie, then peeps. The third and best present is a petition for adoption.
“Is this gonna make me cry?” the Dad asks before opening the present. Surely enough, it does.
