Grant Morrison is one of the loveable lunatics of comic books. He’s a big believer in magic, especially sympathetic magic, which can have strange results, like him using his run on ‘Animal Man’ to deal with the death of his cat, or being in the best shape of his life because writing Batman compels him to work out like a fiend.
In short, dude’s weird, but charming and pretty much utterly harmless. So when he announced he was going to play a song that John Lennon gave to him when they met during a magic ritual, everybody pretty much just sat down and listened.
The weird thing? He’s a pretty good guitar player (albeit a terrible singer). Who knew? The full song, live, under the jump:
