Grown Man Chokes Teen Over “Call of Duty”?

We at GammaSquad would like to say that assault is a crime, and killing or hurting somebody over a video game is stupid. That said, some people have it coming.

A lot of people have weighed in harrumphing about how gamers think Mark Bradford, an unemployed father of three who hunted down some trash-talking teenager and strangled the little brat, is a hero. How can a grown man assaulting a child ever be considered funny?! Rabble rabble rabble!

Well, non-gamers, we’ll explain it to you: we’re sick of dealing with your failures as parents. No, seriously. This kid got chokeslammed because his parents didn’t do their jobs, and it was probably the best parenting he got in years.

Look, the way a kid behaves reflects the personality and behavior of his parents, and if the parents suck, the kid sucks. We make fun of the thirteen-year-old screaming homophobic slurs or “HACKED!” every time he gets killed fairly, but realistically speaking, the kid shouldn’t be doing that and his parents should be stepping in if he does.

So, the next time some random guy pulls up to your driveway, bursts into your living room, and begins forcibly inserting a game controller into your eleven-year-old’s nose, consider that maybe you should have taught him to be respectful of people before calling the police.
