Gucci Mane – “Mention Me” (Prod. By Mike WiLL Made It)

11.29.13 4 years ago

“Mention Me” lowkey reminds me of a kid throwing a temper tantrum because he or she is being ignored. It’s likely less annoying, and since it is over a Mike WiLL Made It beat, that of course works in the incarcerated Gucci Mane’s favor.

Though nothing about this is mind blowing, or really even replay worthy for that matter unless you’re a stan (really, I’m not!), it does sound more consistent than his deluge of music leading up to his lean-induced meltdown via Twitter. Since he doesn’t live in a house, just a studio, who knows when it was recorded. Whether it’s by chance or not, the timing of it feels impeccable, as if the guy knew we hadn’t been talking about him for a while, and was a little upset about it.

Since Gucci hasn’t released nearly enough projects in one year, The State Vs Radric Davis 2 will be out on Christmas.
