‘HELL NO: The Sensible Horror Movie’ Has Characters We Can Finally Believe In

Once in a great while I’ll rant about horror movie tropes, because most horror movies are terrible. There’s nothing entertaining to me about watching unsympathetic garbage human beings make a series of unrealistic decisions until they die in progressively sillier, film-student-trying-too-hard-to-be-edgy ways. Now a trailer for HELL NO: The Sensible Horror Movie has given us a horror movie worth watching. Unfortunately, it’s just a parody trailer.

Imagine a realm where the most horrifying terrors of the underworld emerge to wreak bloody vengeance upon any who… hmm? what’s that? you wanna go literally anywhere else? yeah, good idea let’s get out of here. [official synopsis]

HELL NO: The Sensible Horror Movie is directed by Austin resident Joe Nicolosi and written by Nicolosi and John Freiler. Nicolosi is the same guy behind The Matrix Retold By Mom and an independent-movie-style Super Mario Bros. trailer which reminds us that we picked the wrong day to quit doing mushrooms.

Check out HELL NO below. It has some familiar faces like Sam Eidson (Zero Charisma) as a chainsaw murderer. I thought he was Junior Gorg from Fraggle Rock at first, which would have made this fake movie all the more terrifying.
