Here’s A Guy Trying To Cancel His Comcast Service Before Being Put On Hold Until They Close

This video comes from Aaron Spain on YouTube and it shows him trying to cancel his Comcast service, but being put on hold. It seems pretty innocent from that description, but changes quickly once you learn he’s been on hold for over three hours and the Comcast office is closed:

I was trying to cancel service. I was transferred to the “retention” department at 7:17pm. I’m uploading this video at 10:19pm

I’m not really sure what to say about this one. It could very well be fake, but that could go in front of every video on the Internet. A quick search of the phone number does show it is a Comcast number and the timer on the phone does say three hours.

Is Comcast taking the opposite approach to customer service now? Instead of badgering their customers with condescending remarks, they’re just refusing to talk to them altogether. Spain has the patience of a saint though because I don’t think I would’ve made it past an hour before violently hurling my phone on the floor. I’m an idiot though, it’s what comes naturally.
