The iPod Shuffle – Ice Cube’s “Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It”

Ice Cube was a pioneer of West Coast Hip-Hop, and the genre as a whole. This isn’t up for contention. And as he became one of the statesman for the music, he was also one of its most staunch defenders against its detractors.

“Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It” viciously calls out the ridiculousness and hypocrisy of blaming rap and rappers for the crimes of few outliers. Listening a few years later, the record sounds like it’s attacking conservative Republicans, or in other words Bill O’Reilly and all those clowns over at Fox News.
