No. 1 Indiana Holds Off No. 4 Michigan State, 72-68

Another week, another heavyweight B1G* matchup. Tuesday saw top ranked Indiana visiting No.4 Michigan State in East Lansing, and the back-and-forth fight proved every bit as worthy as you’d expect. The Hoosiers won 72-68, paced by star guard Victor Olapidos, who dropped six points in the game’s final minute en rout to a 19-point, 9-assist night. Michigan State still played well, especially considering the team’s leading scorer Keith Appling was held to six.

Making the number one team in the nation sweat like that on a night where their best scorer left his game in the locker room? The Spartans have felt worse.

*Until another conference proves their superiority, I will continue writing ‘Big 10’ in the most stylized way possible.
