‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ Drops Story Trailer, Lots And Lots Of Continuity Porn

Right on the heels of the first prequel comic hitting stands is a story trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us. And a lot of it is pure, sweet continuity porn.

Here’s the trailer (AGAIN):

But if you can’t watch it until you get home from work, a few items about it that stand out fairly vividly.

  • Hal Jordan is running around in yellow armor with the emblem of the Sinestro Corps on the front. Which is interesting since Green Lantern in his normal, green self is a playable character in the game. Later on in the trailer is the implication Batman gets his ass fairly thoroughly kicked by Hal, to the point where Hal has collected a few trophies.
  • Wonder Woman and Superman seem to be the bad guys at the start of the game, something we’re sure will reverse. She’s also got the Amazons behind her, and Paradise Island is, perhaps unsurprisingly, an arena in the game.
  • Lex Luthor fights what appears to be Hawkwoman at one point in the trailer, which is especially interesting because Hawkwoman isn’t yet announced as a playable character.
  • Lex also gets some very Iron Monger-esque gear at some point in the game, in addition to the classic green and purple armor we’ve seen elsewhere.
  • Nightwing is in a purple costume for some inexplicable reason, which makes us wonder if they’re going to work Huntress into the game and just using Dick as a stand-in.
  • The Joker gets, in what might be one of the more tasteless gags in the game, a crowbar as a fighting weapon. He also drops a reference to not having his camera. Considering the Joker’s dickery starts the entire plot of the game, one suspects he’s probably behind the entire thing.
  • Alternate costumes seem to be a theme and may play into the game’s plotline. We see different models for the Joker, Nightwing, Green Lantern, and Lex Luthor.
  • Amazons square off against Greek male soldiers at some point, and Wondy seems to have lightning powers, so one suspects Ares will be making an appearance.
  • The garden of Wayne Manor also appears to be an arena.
  • There’s also a distinct lack of Aquaman.

Anything we missed?
