Is Natalie Portman the New Lois Lane?

Probably not! But are we going to turn down an excuse to post a sultry, delicious photo of her? Hell no!

Anyway, aside from providing you with another image for your Amidala shrine, Portman is under consideration for Lois Lane, and she’d actually be a good choice. The problem is, they haven’t actually picked a Superman director yet, and getting Portman is dependent on getting her “Black Swan” director, Darren Aronofsky.

So it’s possible, but unlikely. Hey, since we’re here, let’s look at this insane list of directors Warners is talking to for Superman. Seriously, it’s insane. It includes Aronofsky, the talented Duncan Jones (“Moon”), Zack Snyder (“Watchmen”), Jonathan Liebesman and, God help us all, Tony Scott.

Liebesman, who you mostly know from horror movies, is an odd choice to say the least; he’s got a new movie coming out called “Battle: Los Angeles” that must show a lot of promise, because he ain’t on the list because of “Darkness Falls” or “The Killing Room”.

Fortunately, it’s not a question of who’s made the most money, because then it’d be Tony Scott Avid-farting all over the Man of Steel. Christopher Nolan’s running the show, so it’s whoever will work best with him. Just as long as David Goyer isn’t allowed anywhere near the director’s chair, we’re good.
