Jason Statham may not have seen his movie Spy win out for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy at Sunday night’s Golden Globes, but he had another reason to smile. The 48-year-old headlock-giving actor recently proposed to his 28-year-old girlfriend, actress and Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, as the two made their public debut as a newly engaged couple on the Globes red carpet.

The pair got engaged over the holidays, according to a rep for the actor early Monday. This will be the first marriage for both Statham and Huntington-Whiteley, who have been an item since 2010. Despite the fact that the couple had been together for more than five years, Huntington-Whiteley told Self last April that marriage wasn’t a priority for her.

“For any couple that’s been together for a certain amount of time, there’s a massive amount of pressure to get married,” she explained of their relationship. “I totally believe in marriage, but being in a happy relationship is much more important to me … [Kids are] something that’s more realistic in the near future.”

Well, if kids are what she wants, we have no doubt that the two will make absolutely beautiful babies together. Congratulations to the happy couple, and may their futures be filled with diapers and CGI explosions.
