On every Jayhova’s Witnesses’ “Best Jay Z Songs Ever” list lies “Song Cry,” a personal tale Jay once said was inspired by three different relationships he had in the past. Now, we’re learning that somewhere in America, there’s a “Song Cry Part 2.” Sorta.

During an interview on Sway In The Morning, Just Blaze – producer of the original “Song Cry” – spilled the beans about an unreleased record called “Hello, Young Lady” that according to Just, might as well be “Song Cry Part 2.”

“Me and Jay did a song, it might have been for The Black Album, maybe? It was called “Hello, Young Lady” and it was kinda like a “Song Cry” part 2. And the reason we didn’t put it out was because, subject matter wise, it was so close to Song. Basically it like….how “Song Cry” was three verses? These were the next three verses of that same song. But it was so close, it was just like ‘ehh we already did this we don’t really need to do it again.'”

Just also revealed the song almost made it on Magna Carta Holy Grail, but after mulling it over for a day or two, they decided against it. But don’t fret, Witnesses! Just said he’ll get the rap god to put the song out…one day.

If only this conversation had taken place on Twitter and Jay hadn’t meet his quota for the year. Then we’d all be listening right now and comparing a 10-year-old song to today’s rap music.
