Jon Stewart Rescued An Escaped Bull In NYC Yesterday And Reminded Everyone That He’s Still The Best

It’s been months since Jon Stewart exited The Daily Show, and while Trevor Noah has been doing an admirable job, there is still a dull ache in the hearts of many fans who still miss Stewart’s trademark wit. While he has largely left the public eye (the man certainly deserved a break), Stewart pops up every once in a while to remind everyone that he is still the best. For example, he and his wife Tracey have spent a bulk of their time partnering with an animal rescue called Farm Sanctuary to start a branch of the organization at their New Jersey farm.

One bull in particular should be especially grateful for the Stewart’s commitment to Farm Rescue. On Friday, Frank Lee (dubbed thusly for an Alcatraz escapee) the bull decided to make a break for it while he was being transported to a slaughterhouse is Jamaica, New York. After a quick jaunt to York College’s green campus, Frank was tranquilized by NYPD officers before he was taken to Brooklyn’s Animal Care Center. The bull’s derring do caught the eye of Tracey Stewart and Farm Sanctuary, so Frank was transported to the Stewart’s farm for the weekend before he heads to Cornell University’s Hospital for Animals. After a check up and castration (sorry, buddy), he’ll be moved permanently to Farm Sanctuary’s facility in Watkin’s Glen, NY, for a new life of leisure instead of ending up on a dinner plate.

How many times do you think Frank watched Shawkshank Redemption before he made his big break?
