If you were hoping for a more College Dropout ‘Ye, sucks for you because according to reports, the Chi-town rapper’s upcoming album is “dark.” Mr. Kardashian previewed the finished product for Def Jam last week and according to Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg, it’s pretty friggin’ “dark” but “really good.” What we can also expect for Ye’s 6th solo album is work from Theophilus London, TNGHT, Daft Punk and Chief Keef.

The release date?

Well Twitter’s currently speculating that it’s June 18, as evidenced by one lone tweet sent out early Thursday morning, but without any additional information, that date remains all hearsay. However, it stands to figure that June 18 could be a likely drop date since West will appear on a May episode of Saturday Night Live and, again, the album is supposedly done.

Update: Def Jam reportedly has confirmed the release date.

Update #2: Looks as if YN’s retracting the statement he originally attributed to Def Jam’s Chris Atlas. We are now back at “who the fuck knows what June 18 means for Kanye.”
