Kevin Sorbo Is Pretty Sore About Not Being In The Rock’s New ‘Hercules’ Movie

Does The Rock smell what Kevin Sorbo’s cooking? I detect a dish of hot tempers with a side of jealousy. That’s because Sorbo, the former star of the hit ’90s TV series Hercules: Legendary Journeys, is pretty irked about not being invited to appear in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s upcoming Hercules movie. Yes, old muscle man is miffed at new muscle man.

“We were sort of taken aback that they wouldn’t let me in that movie. Not even to do a cameo. I think it’s kind of stupid, really,” Sorbo told Dish Nation. “We approached the director [Brett Ratner]. I don’t know what his reasons are. I don’t know if it was political or ego or what it is? But to not put me in for a stupid little cameo? The audience would have loved it.”

It seems Sorbo’s bad luck at landing big-time projects is nothing new these days. During the same interview — conducted at the premiere for his [sigh] latest low-budget film, Alongside Night Sorbo also mentioned his disappointment at being left out of Expendables 2. “They told me they were going to put me in Expendables 2, and they never did,” he said. “Maybe I’m too tall for that cast, I don’t know.”

Considering nearly every major action movie hero with a pulse was in Expendables, I’d be pretty annoyed, too. Maybe this old photo of The Rock sporting a fanny pack will ease Sore Bro Sorbo’s pain? Watch the full interview clip below.
