It looks like there is hope for society after all, because the numbers are in, and Kim Kardashian‘s selfie book that was released in May, appropriately titled Selfish, was a complete and total financial flop. Either that or Kim Kardashian fans figured out that you don’t need to buy the cow when you can get her insipid, narcissistic, self-absorbed pictures for free on the internet. (Seriously, have you ever visited her Instagram page? The amount of pictures that woman actually posts of herself is horrifying.)

Anyway, Radar obtained the numbers, and it ain’t pretty.

Reps for Nielsen Bookscan told Radar exclusively that so far, it has only sold 32,000 copies. That represents just 0.8% of Kardashian’s Instagram fans. (*Nielsen BookScan’s U.S. Consumer Market Panel currently covers approximately 85% of the print book market and continues to grow.)

What’s more, the book is a critical flop online. Sitting at 1,607 in books, it’s ranked only 2.5 stars after 661 customer reviews. And those reviews have been scathing.

Even though it’s technically still a failure, 32,000 is still more Kim Kardashian selfie books to have been sold than I’m comfortable with. Then again, you could have told me 200 and I’d still think that seemed like a lot.
